Feet Firmly in Finland...Finally

We are thrilled that our feet have finally touched Finnish soil.  We have a nice hotel downtown, and are getting ready for our first Finnish meal.

We are now on foreign soil, and are awaiting our final flight to Helsinki.

Howdy Houston

Just touched down in Houston, after spending over 3 hours on the tarmac in Pittsburgh...and this was to be one of our shorter flights today!

Every step we take today is one step farther than we took on Saturday...we are at the gate in Pittsburgh, waiting to go to Houston.

Rescheduled Timeline

Our Finland trip has been rescheduled for May 14-21st.  We will be departing Pittsburgh on Wednesday, May 14 and traveling to Helsinki via Houston, Texas and then Frankfort, Germany. Hopefully, we will arrive in Finland on May 15 at 5pm (Helsinki time). We look forward to sharing our adventures with you!

Finland...Delayed

We are disappointed that United Airlines was not able to find alternative flights for our group today.  Everyone is back at home, hoping that the trip can be rescheduled soon.

Stalled in Pittsburgh

Unfortunately, our flight to Chicago was cancelled this morning, so we are trying to find alternative routes. One of the students suggested a possible back up plan...a trip to Ikea...as close as we may be able to get to Scandanavia.
